We’ll be giving a public talk at Richard Bell’s Embassy, as part of Tarnanthi, at the Art Gallery of South Australia in Tarntanya Adelaide.
Bell’s installation is inspired by the Aboriginal Tent Embassy, the protest camp set up 50 years ago on the lawns of Parliament House in Kamberri Canberra.
The presentation of Embassy at AGSA will feature film screenings and talks programmed in collaboration between Richard Bell and Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna artist Dominic Guerrera.
At our session, we will be joined by Dominic Guerrera to discuss the ideas and research methodology behind the UnMonumental project.
A big thanks to Richard Bell, Dominic Guerrera and AGSA for inviting us to participate.
If you’re in Tarntanya Adelaide we’d love to see you at Embassy.
We will begin at 2pm on Saturday 22 October. Entry is free.
More information about Tarnanthi is available on the AGSA website.
